#1 FAQ - How many watts of solar panels can I have connected to this?

Answer: If you are charging a 51.2v lifepo4 battery at 58.4v multiply 58.4v by 20a. That would be 1168w max solar input. 10x 100w 12v solar panels in 5s2p configuration would work. Or of course you can use higher watt solar panels. Just keep the solar open circuit voltage input under 100v. You can always parallel solar panels to keep the voltage under. Volts x amps = watts. Always make sure your solar input voltage stays below 100v and amps are under 20a. Also make sure your battery can handle up to 20a continuous charge rate. We recommend using a 20a in line fuse as an added layer of protection between the charge controller and battery.
