SAMSUNG MODULE w/ BMS - UNBALANCED
These modules are unbalanced. You can take the time to balance the packs or just salvage the 24 cells from them and use the bms for another project. They are priced accordingly.
Here are 8s lithium ion medical batteries. These are absolutely beautiful packs with a legit BMS. The best part about medical grade batteries is they only use the best name brand cells with super high quality BMS units. (CHECK OUT THE VIDEOS IN THE BOTTOM OF THE DESCRIPTION)
Each unit has 24 Samsung 26f 2600mah 18650 cells which are one of the best and most popular cells available.
You can solder your own positive and negative leads to the BMS if you want. Some of these modules are missing the connector but you can easily add your own and you would want to add your own anyway. The BMS is rated for 10a but I would recommend using charge and discharge limits to 5a. Good rule of thumb is 100w per battery. If you have a 1000w inverter then run 10 of these packs in parallel.
you can easily line up these side by side and connect them in parallel to a busbar. Just make sure each battery is the same voltage before you connect them in parallel. These packs have been consistently testing above 90% capacity.
These batteries new were super expensive, hundreds of dollars each and were used for brain tumor treatment mobility packs. Medical batteries usually only get used a limited number of times before being swapped out for new ones so that's why these are testing so good.
Yes you can salvage the cells from these packs however you will likely need to rewrap the cells because they are glued together. I would recommend using this pack as is because you can utilize the super high quality BMS.
If you have a 24v inverter that has an input voltage range up to 32v this would be perfect. Each cell would charge up to 4v and you will see 4 times the cycle life and only 15-20% less capacity.
Pack fully charged voltage: 33.6v (4.2v/cell)
Fully discharged voltage: 22.4v (2.8v/cell)
Recommended Max Continuous Charge: 5a
Recommended Max Continuous Discharge: 5a
Again, a good rule of thumb for sizing a build with these packs is 100w discharge rate per module. These are 225wh modules. They'll make for a super safe and high quality modular system and would take very little effort to make a nice powerwall and especially for an RV application. Have a 2kWh 24v inverter in your RV already? 20 packs in parallel and you're all set. 4.5kWh battery right there.
