New XL Weatherproof Insulated Outdoor Battery Cabinet With Heat/AC
If you fill this cabinet with 3.2v 280ah lifepo4 cells you can fit 7 rows, each with 48 cells in 12x4 configuration, and have 300kWh of battery storage. Of course you can fill this with any type of battery you want and that will determine how many kWh you can fit inside.
These genuine, industrial grade outdoor cabinets are insulated and come with a 600w heat/ac 110v unit. When you build your battery inside you can add a dedicated 1000w pure sine wave inverter to power the heat/ac unit or simply power it from whatever inverter you decide to install.
We had this cabinet custom designed for the DIY community. The adjustable and removable shelves allow for a variety of batteries to be installed inside. The upgraded support brackets nearly tripled the shelf weight capacity. The size was selected to achieve reasonable freight costs by fitting on a relatively standard size pallet.
Cabinet size is 71" x 40" x 40". There are 6 adjustable shelves plus the floor of the cabinet. Each shelf is around 905mm (35.63") x 765mm (30.12").
We upgraded the shelves with 4 added heavy duty support cross sections. Each shelf can handle up to 300kg (661 lbs) and the entire cabinet can handle up to 2000kg (4409 lbs). The cabinet should not be moved when full.
There are many gaskets for running wires in and out of the cabinet and also from shelf to shelf.
The default programming of the heat/ac temperature controller is pre-programmed for standard lifepo4 operating temperature ranges and can be changed. Heat mode uses 500w and A/C mode uses 600w.
32 degrees Fahrenheit and lower = heat turns on
113 degrees Fahrenheit and higher = air conditioning turns on
Protect your batteries from high and low temperatures and also keep your batteries outside of your home.
There is also a mini firefighter unit included along with a light. You get all the wires included and you will have to make your wire connections from the light to the door switch if you want to use the light.
Requires R134A refrigerant to be added. (Can be found on Amazon for cheap).
