Module with 36x Toshiba 2.3v 20ah LTO Cells
These modules we checked and all cells have good voltage. The cells are Toshiba 2.3v 20ah. There are 36 cells in series in this module. The cells are laser welded but it's likely if you remove the circuit board on top there will be enough space to carefully cut the busbars and remove them in 6 cell packs however since we didn't remove the PCB on top we don't know for sure.
We recommend to keep the cells in the enclosure because they are properly compressed already. The cells are prismatic so compression is important.
Datasheet is in the last photo. Amps equals watts divided by cell voltage. So these can handle up to around 500a each for a few seconds but that would depend on the size of the busbars if the busbars can handle that.
As is the cells should be top balanced first. They are all pretty well balanced but every battery should be top balanced first before adding a BMS. Charge all the cells up to 2.7v. Since the module is in 36s configuration the whole module fully charged would be 97.2v and fully discharged would be 64.8v.
This might be a great option for 72v applications.
Module is 59 lbs.
Dimensions are 17" x 12.5" x 6"
There is a main positive and negative post where you can add a ring terminal and bolt connection.
