48v 12.8ah 599wh 13s4p MH1 3200mah cells
These packs are beautiful and easy to work with. Every module was removed from a working ebike. We have a few pallets of these modules. We opened 20 different modules and all cells were balanced and had voltage. There were no dead cells. The batteries were at different voltage ranges, 2 of them were a little discharged like 1.5v per cell. All the cells we tested from the packs we broke down were above 90% capacity.
Each pack is made of 52 3200mah MH1 18650 cells which are one of the best cells on the market. Rated for up to 10a discharge as well. The value for this pack is extremely high and at this price you can't go wrong. Looking at $83/kWh for 13s4p modules using the best cells.
Each module weight is 7.3 lbs. We think the BMS is turned off because the key is in the lock position. Usually the wires that go to the key you can just connect to each other so that is probably why the BMS is not activated. We have a lot of large projects going on so we just don't have the man power to open each module and check each one. Although every module we checked was perfect. We are selling these for cheap and we do know all the batteries were removed from an active fleet so we are assuming every pack is the same as the first 20 that we tested.
You can charge through the main pins but it seems the BMS shuts off when charge is removed likely due to the lock and not having the key. Connecting the lock wires together to bypass it should activate it but we can't guarantee that. As you can see in the photos there is a jst output on each module and you can easily add your own BMS to this. Think about how easy it would be to parallel these packs together too. The circuit board makes it super convenient.
Note: the green board is not damaged at all, it's just some glue that you see in the pictures. Overall these batteries are super clean and in great condition.
They will come in a plastic housing. You will need a standard philips head screw driver. There are 3 screw holding the shell together. After you remove the screws just get a little pry bar or screw driver and pry open the 2 sides. It pops right open. We were able to open these in under 2 minutes after we did the first one. You will also have some different connectors and wiring that you can reuse too.
