These are amazing value LTO batteries testing near full capacity. Each battery has 24x 2.3v 20ah cells in 12s2p configuration. LTO can be discharged down to 0v and works excellent for car audio and also low temperature applications.
The lid easily pops off. Comes out to just $8.33 per 2.3v 20ah cell.
The cells are rated for 20,000 cycles. 12s makes a nice 24v battery or you can series 2 of these and make a 24s battery that should work within the operating voltage range of most 48v inverters. If you built a solar storage system with these batteries they would likely end up in your will. The circuit board on top is just for balancing and communication. You can add your own BMS to this or it easily bolts off. The balance lead connections would be easy since each series has a bolted connection for the balance leads.
The photo below shows the discharge curve of LTO cells. These cells can handle up to 10C (200a/cell).
1 of these packs in 12s form will fully charge to 31.2v (2.6v per cell) and at 24v (2v per cell) the bulk of the battery capacity is used. LTO can be fully discharged. And the SCiB cells are rated down to 1.5v by spec which would come out to 18v fully discharged to spec.
LTO can be used even at -30 degrees Celcius.
Recommended max charge and discharge is 10c or 200a per cell.
If you want to configure these into different voltages you can cut the busbar connections with a dremel at your own risk. Each series connection has an area raised higher where you can cut without worrying about hitting the cells if done carefully. The busbars are tinned copper so you should be able to solder connections onto them.
Individual cell dimensions are 116mmx22mmx106mm. I'm sure you can take the cells out of the holder but I would recommend keeping the original busbars and spacing in tact. Its a professional connection that you can use. Just utilize the screw terminals to make your connections with wires and ring terminals.
