As you can see in the 2nd photo these modules come in a metal enclosure which can easily be opened with a standard phillips head screw driver. The BMS is proprietary so you will not be able to reuse it. It comes off super easy with just a screw driver. This whole pack is very easy to work with.
This could be the greatest value battery ever. 1.1kWh of genuine Toshiba SCiB LTO cells that are rated for 20,000 cycles. Just $12.50 per cell. You can convert this to 12v by cutting the busbar between series 6 and 7. If you build a battery out of these packs it will likely end up in your will. That's how long these will last.
This battery uses Toshiba SCiB 24ah cells, 12 in series, 2 in parallel. Making a perfect 24v battery pack. The photo below shows the discharge curve of LTO cells.
As you can see, 1 of these packs in 12s form will fully charge to 31.2v (2.6v per cell) and at 24v (2v per cell) the bulk of the battery capacity is used. LTO can be fully discharged down to 0 volts with no issues. And the SCiB cells are rated down to 1.5v by spec.
LTO can be used even at -30 degrees Celcius.
We recommend using an LTO Daly bms. 2 of these packs in series makes an awesome 48v battery.
Recommended max charge and discharge is 10c or 200a per cell.
The battery module itself is roughly 15" x 7" x 5" and weighs around 30 lbs.
Individual cell dimensions are 116mmx22mmx106mm. I'm sure you can take the cells out of the holder but I would recommend keeping the original busbars and spacing in tact. Its a professional connection that you can use. Just utilize the busbars to make your connections with wires and ring terminals.
We tested a few modules and they all tested above 90% capacity. These were only used as starting power so never fully cycled.
