Modem batteries are only cycled when a home loses power, which is very rare in the US. That is why they test so good compared to salvaging cells from laptops.

These are a great source of genuine Sanyo 2500mah cells. These particular Sanyo cells ARE NOT the heaters. These are the good Sanyo UR18650FM cells.

You can pry the seam with a pair of wire cutters to get the cells out.

Since these have been in storage uncharged for shipping standards it's possible some will have low voltage, but they will wake up for sure. Out of thousands we have tested there were only a few bad cells.
