The lid is screwed on so it's easy to remove the lid.

These were recovered from battery packs but are in excellent condition as you can see.

External dimensions are 7 1/2" wide x 9 1/4" tall x 10 1/4" long. Internal dimensions are thinner all around. 7.25" x 10" x 7.25" would be a good measurement if you are trying to see if your battery pack will fit inside. It will be a hair larger than that.
