#1 FAQ - How many watts of solar panels can I have connected to this?

Answer: The specs say, for example, 6800w when you are charging a 48v battery. Charging a 24v battery would be up to 3400w. Just keep the solar open circuit voltage input under 150v for 48v and under 100v for 24v. Each battery voltage will show you the highest solar input voltage. It's different for each battery voltage. You can always parallel solar panels to keep the voltage under. Volts x amps = watts. Always make sure your solar input voltage stays below what is recommended and amps are under 120a. Also make sure your battery can handle up to 120a continuous charge rate. We recommend using a 120a in line fuse as an added layer of protection between the charge controller and battery.
