Here are unused battery modules recovered from an outdoor battery cabinet. The battery cabinet was meant for an outdoor energy storage project but one of the cabinet legs was bent. We recovered these battery modules from the cabinet and checked to make sure all cells are balanced. Every cell is resting near nominal voltage and the module is perfectly balanced.

These must ship freight. We have excellent freight rates which includes lift gate and residential service if needed. Of course you can always do a local pickup for free from our Bensalem, PA location or schedule your own freight. For your convenience we have a freight calculator at the bottom of this listing so you can check shipping rates right on this page.

There are 4 rows of cells. Each row has 13 cells in series. Each of the 4 rows of 13 cells are in series. Total of 52 cells in series. Each cell is CATL 3.2v 280ah lifepo4 prismatic. At this price you are getting each 280ah cell for just $38 which comes out to just $43/kWh.

You will need to add your own BMS. You have full and easy access to the balance lead wires for each cell. The lid of this module comes off easily by removing the bolts around the sides.

You can cut the busbars at your own risk with a dremel and cutting wheel. If you look at the 2nd photo, zoom in to the series busbars between the cells. You will see it is wavy and there is a good 2" of busbar length between the cells. What a lot of customers are doing with these types of modules is, let's say they want a 16s 48v battery, after every 16th cell in series they will cut the busbar carefully down the middle. This leaves about 1" of busbar on each side. You can then use a plastic tool and press on the laser weld of the cell while bending that busbar upwards. You want to keep pressure on the cell's laser weld while bending to prevent breaking the laser weld connection on the cell while doing it. The busbars are aluminum and will bend with a little force. Once it is bent upwards you now have easy access to drill a hole in the tab then use nuts and bolts to make your connections with a ring terminal or busbar.
