Porsche OEM 12v 60ah Lifepo4 A123 Power Module

Here's the deal with these batteries. Of course they are built with power lifepo4 cells and are in 4s configuration. Fully charged 14.6v and fully discharged 10v.

Now, the relay inside these batteries will shut off on their own. If the relay worked these batteries would sell for over $700. These batteries will take a charge and work but once they are not being used the relay shuts off on it's own.

If you added one of our 4s 300a lifepo4 BMS units to this battery it would be able to handle high continuous current and also pulse higher which would be perfect for a 12v power module for car audio or to use as a starter battery. We do not recommend using the battery with the original BMS.

At your own risk, you can use a dremel and cut around the lid seam. You don't want to cut too deep of course. Once the lid is off you will have full access to the cells and busbars as shown in the 2nd photo.

To be clear, the value here is 4s 12v 60ah lifepo4 power cells in a case with busbars that can handle up to 250a continuous and up to 800 cold cranking amps. The BMS with relay installed in these likely will not work right but we know the cells inside are balanced and have good voltage. You don't have to add a 300a BMS. You can just add a 30a or 100a BMS and use this for other uses but if you want to use as a power module we do have the 300a 4s lifepo4 BMS units for a good price. The 30a 4s lifepo4 BMS units are very cheap and would work too. Just depends on how many amps you would need from this battery.
