Pack with 4x FST 3.7v 2200mah 18650 Cells

These packs are easy to salvage the cells out of and every pack comes with a 2s BMS as well. At this price, if you save all the 2s BMS units you could sell them on Ebay for about the same price as the packs. Also you can scrap the wire and nickel to help offset the cost of the cells even more.

We opened up 20 random packs and all 80 cells had voltage. Some packs the cells were out of balance so this is something where you want to test all the cells and pair them up in similar capacities.

You get 4 cells per pack. Just 40 cents per cell for 2200mah cells. Comes out to just $49/kWh ($0.049/Wh). Cells are in 2s2p configuration. BMS we are not sure what the amp ratings are but it seems to be at least a 3a BMS.

Recommended charge rate is up to 1.1a (0.5c) and up to 2.2a (1c) for discharge rate. These are perfect cells for a powerwall and many other applications. The cells can handle more but we always recommend to keep charge levels to 0.5c on a charge and 1c on a discharge for 18650 cells. Especially because current must run through nickel and spot welds so you want to keep them at a reasonable charge and discharge rate.
