Calculate Your Battery Pack

This calculation also takes into consideration the maximum continuous amp ratings of the cells.

It is recommended to insulate between the cells. Many customers use thin plastic sheets or even barley paper. Since the cells have metal casing you want something a little thicker between the cells than just the blue shrink wrap to prevent a short. This is especially important in high vibration mobile applications.

It is also recommended to have some rigid casing around the whole battery, especially for high amp applications. Some companies just tape around the whole pack with strong tape but we recommend a rigid outer casing or box. This provides structural support to prevent swelling over time.
