This is the greatest deal you will find on BMW batteries ANYWHERE!!! Other places are charging twice or triple the amount for BMW batteries, but here at Battery Hookup you don't have to be rich to afford the finer things in life.  These batteries have been professionally tested by BMW and there is even a printout showing that all the cells are balanced. BMW batteries are very valuable because they are built like tanks and use Samsung NMC prismatic lithium ion cells. You get the whole car battery in the original crate as shown in the 2nd photo. Each crate contains a hood, tunnel (down the middle/console), and trunk battery. This model in particular is awesome because the modules are very useful 3s, 4s, and 5s configurations. You can easily disassemble these yourself with basic hand tools you can get from Harbor Freight or Home Depot. Do not be intimidated, these are the easiest EV batteries we have disassembled and everything is light enough that you can do it without help.

This is an AMAZING option for the ultimate powerwall, EV conversion, golf cart, forklift, etc. These are from field trial 2012 BMW Active E cars that were only leased for 3 years. These batteries are all balanced and have a ton of life left in them. New these are 32kWh, these still have around 26kWh of power. We tested many modules charged to 4.15v/cell and discharged down to 3v/cell and got around 72ah. It is possible that you will get better results doing a full cycle test,  charge to 4.2v and discharge down to 2.8v but understand that you are getting balanced modules with a ton of life left that have not been degraded and abused like we are used to seeing with many EV packs.

Each crate you will be able to salvage 11 3s, 7 4s, and 5 5s modules. You will get all the wiring and busbars and the best part is you can recoup a lot of this cost by selling the components. There are many expensive relays, fuses, resistors, cooling systems (which you can probably reuse), copper, aluminum, steel, PCB, connectors, disconnects, etc. There is close to $1000 worth of parts you can sell if you don't need them.

The battery modules are beautiful and one of the most solid, well built modules we have seen. Holding one you can tell it is built to last. These use 45ah cells and are in 2p format. So the 4s module is actually 8 cells in 4s2p configuration. Connect 4s and 3s modules to make a perfect 24v battery, 2 5s and 1 4s or 1 5s and 3 3s to make 14s 48v modules. Or if you have an EV conversion this would be an amazing opportunity since it is already a 96s 350v battery module.

The total weight of the entire crate is around 1300 lbs. The modules themselves are around 200-450 lbs depending on the module. Heaviest is the center console (tunnel) battery.
